Before you insert the card
- Power the device off first.
- Check the card matches your device — the product page lists which handhelds it's built for.
Using the card
- Insert the card (contacts facing the way shown on your device), then power on.
- On Linux handhelds the new games appear in the menu automatically; on Android handhelds and Steam Deck, open the frontend app listed on the product page.
- Give the first scan a few minutes on large cards.
Don'ts
- Don't format the card in a computer — it erases the setup.
- Don't remove it while the device is on.
Troubleshooting
- Card not detected: re-seat it, and make sure it's pushed in until it clicks.
- Games missing: wait for the first scan to finish, then restart.
